Queering The Talmud

For a text written nearly 2,000 years ago, the Talmud contains surprisingly relevant discussions of gender identity, same-sex affection and physical intimacy. Led by Cantor Cattan, we'll study several key passages, discuss their relevance to our lives today and how they might inform current thinking about the place of LGBTQ people in the Jewish world and society at large.

A light lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Harold Levine at hslevine@gmail.com
