Join us for our Lilith Salon event which will be an in-person discussion on Wednesday, November 18th at 7 pm in the Barbara Zinn Moore and Evan Spelfogel Community Room at SPS.
*We will discuss “Let Us Now Praise Big-Mouthed Jewish Women ” (press on this link https://lilith.org/articles/1998-let-us-now-praise-big-mouthed-jewish-women/) which was written by Susan Schnur and originally included in the Fall 1998 issue of Lilith. This article was so impactful that it was re-published in 2026 (with commentary) as one of the iconic reads from the first 50 years of Lilith Magazine!
*When in your life have you been told you were "too loud," "too much," or "too aggressive"? How did you react then, and how do you feel about it looking back? Among other topics, the essay celebrates women who confront public rule-breakers and ask us whether we feel comfortable stepping into that role in public spaces rather than feeling social pressure to stay quiet.
*Please see the flyer below for details - This is a members-only event, reservations are not required, and there will be snacks!
