Groups & Clubs

Sutton Place Synagogue's groups and clubs offer our members opportunities to learn and socialize based on their common interests.

Women’s League of Sutton Place Synagogue

At Sutton Place Synagogue, we’ve reinvented the traditional idea of a Women’s League. Our group of high-energy, multi-generational women pursues an array of intellectual, philanthropic and social activities – all while building lasting friendships and fostering our personal growth.

Our Women's League is a community of women with similar ideals. By building lasting friendships and promoting personal growth, we expand our experience at Sutton Place Synagogue. Together, we explore spiritual, intellectual, philanthropic, cultural and social opportunities. We serve. We learn. We perform acts of loving kindness.

To learn more about the Women's League, please contact our Women’s League President, Randi Cannata at 516/361-2291 or moosh50@gmail.com.

On Saturday morning, May 19, the Women's League invites the entire community to worship at our annual Women's League Shabbat. Join us for a festive Shabbat luncheon immediately following services.

Also this May, we will begin our annual Honey Jar program for the High Holidays. Stay tuned for more details.

The Book Club

The Sutton Place Synagogue Book Club meets on Mondays at noon in our Synagogue Ball Room. We're taking the summer off, but are ready to kick into high gear again this fall!

The remaining book this season is Foreign Bodies, by Cynthia Ozick (May 21).

Young Families Group

Our nursery and religious school parents regularly get together for a variety of informal social functions, at each other's homes, in the synagogue and around our great city. This is a terrific way for our synagogue parents to pursue a number of fun and thought-provoking activites while building friendships with their fellow Kaplan Nursery School and Jackson Religious School parents.
